Performance Materials Corporation (PMC), Camarillo, CA, announces the break-through molding demonstration of its CFRT^® (Continuous Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic) composite materials in cooperation with Roc Tool, creator of the Cage^® System technology.

The demonstration highlights the ability to mold CFRT^® into intricate shapes, such as a computer lap-top cover, with little to no finishing required. The combination of the Cage^® molding process and CFRT^® allows fibers to flow into even the most vital complex shapes allowing for strength beyond that of magnesium.

The use of CFRT^® in the Cage^® System can both improve the quality and increase through-put in applications once thought sacred to metal or injection molding.
